Music in the Mountains...
A tranquil secluded retreat superbly situated on Mount Greville, only ninety minutes from Brisbane but with only the sounds and sights made by God outside the house. Zengarra is a unique concept, a beautiful house full of antiques and Chinese art works with a secret in the adjoining specially built Music Pavilion. Here are a Grand Piano and Concert Marimba. Co-owner Christine Leah is a professional musician, a Graduate of the Royal Schools of Music, who has appeared at the Albert Hall and on television in UK.
Zengarras guests are treated to Christine playing the grand piano, and the marimba, often accompanying herself on the Clavinova. The Bach Italian Concerto, arranged by Christine for harpsichord and marimba is something you will not forget in a hurry.
Music compliments the tranquillity of nature at Zengarra; sip a good wine and let romantic piano pleasure your senses before a superb dinner.
Zengarra also features Sweet Music Afternoon Tea Recitals with home baked cakes, and occasional major events such as the Classical & Jazz on the Lawn Picnics, and Lady Sings and Lady Plays exclusive dining experiences.
Zengarra is fully equipped for small company functions, board think tanks, policy setting meetings etc. The large screen projector as well as the rooms for syndication are complimented by the superb food and classical piano to rejuvenate the executive. Mike has 20 years experience as a management lecturer so can assist and facilitate seminars.

Zengarra is an adults only retreat. Three couples staying together have the whole Country House to themselves, accommodation, decks and pool. We can arrange celebration special meals. Just ask for your requirements.
Fishing, Water Skiing, Sailing Or Canoeing on Lake Moogerah and Lake Maroon
Antique shops can be found in Boonah and also in Aratula.
Scenic Drives around the Heart of the Scenic Rim. Try a Lake Side Drive along the 30 kilometre Lake Moogerah Road which has beautiful views including the dam, and the Gorge or The Queen Mary Falls Drive from Zengarra returning via Warwick makes a lovely afternoon out. Take an easy but memorable two-kilometre stroll through the bush to see the horseshoe-shaped Queen Mary Falls, where Spring Creek spills 40 metres down an escarpment to join the Condamine.
Bushwalking. This area is regarded by many from Brisbane as a bushwalker's paradise, Boonahs surroundings offer some of the best bush walking in the Scenic Rim. Mt Barney and Mt Maroon Mt Greville, Mt French, Spicers Gap and Lake Moogerah offer walks of all levels and distances. Some reward walkers with breathtaking views, others feature wildlife and bird watching. Zengarras Own Mountain Mount Greville offers A Bushwalking Challenge.
Wineries and Pubs.The growing popularity of the wines from the area means winery and pub trails lead you to see areas which the developers havent found yet. Choose a driver for the day and head round the trail before settling in for dinner and the night in the luxury of Zengarra.
Templin Historical Village. is a bit of old Queensland, ane early settlers village which contains an interesting collection of relics and records from yesteryear.

Boonah Airfield, has both. Zengarra can arrange flights for you with a qualified instructor while enjoying the fabulous scenery around the Scenic Rim. You can see just how secluded Zengarra is when you fly over us. Weekends and Public Holidays and other days by prior arrangement

Bird watching
Directions from Brisbane
Follow the signs for Ipswich to leave Brisbane. The road is known as the Western Freeway later the Centenary Highway then the Ipswich Motorway Proceed on the Ipswich Motorway until you reach some major overhead signs for Toowoomba and Warwick. DO NOT TAKE THE FIRST EXIT TO TOOWOOMBA. Immediately after this first exit, move to the left lane and take the next exit to Warwick. This is all on a motorway standard road. You are now on the Cunningham Highway. Continue on this road for approximately 40 minutes to Aratula. 5 kms past Aratula at the top of a rise see sign on left for Spicer's Gap. This is the Zengarra section of Lake Moogerah Road. Move to the left slip lane and take the road left at the intersection signposted Spicer's Gap and Lake Moogerah Road. Proceed a further 5 kms, then the road crosses Coulson Creek on a one lane bridge. Zengarra is the second gate on the right. Take the drive up the hill road, wave to the wallabies.
