The bed and breakfast has been purpose built to reflect the character of the original home (built in the 1900¿s) while at the same time providing our guests with large, comfortable, beautifully appointed rooms each with modern ensuites. All three rooms feature Queen size beds, thermostatically controlled heating, electric blankets, TVs with DVDs, fully stocked minibars along with tea and coffee making facilities. Enjoy the privacy of your suite or meet the other guests in the lounge or courtyard. Enjoy port and chocolates with our compliments.

Explore the Huon Valley and Tasmania¿s southern region from one convenient location. We are located 200 metres from the centre of Huonville and just thirty minutes south of Hobart, forty-five minutes from the Tahune Airwalk, forty minutes to the Bruny Island Ferry and a walk to the Huon Jet Boat. We are right in the heart of the Huon Valley and on the Huon Trail so you're close to everything the area has to offer. Vineyards, fishing, golf, gardens and many other attractions are a short drive away.

After a day of exploring the local attractions and marvelling at the natural beauty of the area, stroll across the river and enjoy the local hospitality. Local pub or à la carte, the choice is yours.

There are no 'official' guest business facilities at Walton House but we are more than happy for you to use our Internet connection.

We have off-street car park which is free to guests.

Checkin at 1400hrs (2pm).

We are happy to accommodate an extra guest. Extra guests charged at $35 per night. Only available in our Coach House suite.

Our property is unsuitable for children.

Have a quick look at a map of the area and you'll see that Huonville is ideally situated to explore the southern region of Tasmania. Huonville is at a fork in the road that allows you to head further south (to the Tahune Airwalk/Hastings Caves) or over to the south east coast (Bruny Island, Cygnet). If you want to see the whole area and you don't stay in Huonville, you will have to keep driving through the town to get from one part of the south to the next!

Journey along the Huon Trail and pick out the attractions that suit you.

The Tahune Airwalk, Hastings Caves and Thermal Springs and the Huon jet boat are all close by.

Take a trip to Bruny Island. Catch a fish at the local trout fishery or enjoy a fish at a selection of local restaurants and wineries. Take a drive or a walk through an area where natural beauty abounds.

From Hobart, take the A6 and follow the signs to Huonville. Drive through the town, across the bridge over the river and Walton House is 200 metres on your right.
