Call in and ask us about the real name of our riverside cottage. Built by Captain Johnson (the first Murray Riverboat Captain to reach Albury) before 1860 for one of his Engineers, our cottage stands on the highest point of the riverbank.

Relax and enjoy the superb river view from the balcony adjoining your room, with a complimentary bottle of wine and some chocolates. Guests staying two nights or more also receive a complimentary fruit and cheese platter. Two Queen sized bedrooms, each with its own en-suite, have been purpose built for your pleasure.

Full Country Cooked Breakfast is served in the sunroom or, weather permitting, on the Pooldeck with magnificent views from Hindmarsh Island Bridge to the Goolwa Barrage.

Borrow our bicycles and enjoy a ride on the Encounter Cycle track, or take the fishing rods and try your luck (we are on the river and only two kilometres from the beach). Or maybe you just wish to relax on our Whole Body Vibration Machine the Ultimate fitnes exercise.

Our BBQ and poopdeck are available for use by our guests.

Picnic hamper for two easily organised at a reasonable rate.

From the Post Office in the main street of Goolwa, travel towards Victor Harbor for 50 metres. Turn left at the Whistle Stop Cafe, into Admiral Terrace. Our Cottage is under neath the tallest Norfolk Island Pine tree in Goolwa.
