Things To Do
Fraser Island
This is the largest sand island in the world and is heritage listed. Rainbow Beach is the gateway to this magnificent Island and can be accessed directly from Rainbow Beach by barge from Inskip Point or the Rainbow Beach Flying Service which offers daily flights. This environmentally sensitive region is where you can discover abundant wildlife and natural beauty with seemingly endless golden beaches, towering hardwood forests, pristine rainforests and crystal clear freshwater lakes with gurgling blood red streams, prehistoric ferns and mosaic coloured sands.

Take a tour through the Cooloola National Park, Coloured Sands, Double Island Point Lighthouse, Rainforest and Lake Freshwater.
Carlo Sand Blow
A bush walk up to Carlo Sandblow is a must for every visitor. The Blow is an easy 600m walk from the car park. Spectacular views of The Coloured Sands, Double Island Point and Tin Can Bay Inlet are the bonus for your efforts. This is a most beautiful piece of Natures Sculpture.
Dolphin Viewing at Tin Can Bay
Take a cruise or a short drive and you can see the wild Dolphins come in to be fed.

The route selected will take you on a dirt road via the Cooloola Way. We advise using the Bruce highway to Gympie and then follow the signs to Tin Can Bay then to Rainbow Beach.
Rainbow Beach is fast becoming the new resort town on SE Queensland coast. It is approximately 2½ hours from Brisbane Airport, 1½ hours by road to Noosa.
Hervey Bay domestic airport is 1½ hours away.
From Brisbane take the Bruce Highway heading north and look for a right hand turn (about 1.5ks past the AFL football grounds on the left, opposite the United Service station) as you reach Gympie. Follow the signs to Tin Can Bay/Rainbow Beach and then on to Rainbow Beach.Once in Rainbow Beach follow the road straight into town, we are opposite food works, turn right at food works, then right again, reception is just on the left & we are next door to the ice cream shop. Approximately 1.5klm from the, Welcome to Rainbow Beach sign.
