Summertime Cottage Beach Accommodation - Southport - Tasmania Just a short drive from Hobart to a pristine beach paradise. This charming beachy cottage is ideal for romantic getaways, family holidays, or for group bookings.

The drive from Hobart only takes about 75 minutes, but it can take much more if you like to have a look at the lovely little towns and scenery on the way. Once you get there you will be amazed at how pristine the location and the beach is. The rolling waves do crash a bit at times, but that will only serve to relax you and send you to noddy land. Light the fire, open a good wine, drag over a couple of old easy chairs and kick back. There is a selection of music to wack on the CD player.

If thats not your style, try fishing off the beach out the front. A good surf rod will soon have a couple of pretty good sized flathead in the bag. What about snow walking and sight seeing. What about 4 wheel driving. How about reading, playing your guitar, writing poetry or even a novel. If you have kids, you wont see them till they get hungry. You can't get them off the beach. Deep blue water(extremely clean) and a beautiful white sandy beach to lay or walk on. Allow plenty of days to chill out.

This area has become known as "Far South Tasmania" and is quite unique. There are lots of things to see and do, if you can drag yourself away from the beach. It is worth taking a look at

Southport Tasmania, is in a unique tourism region that has become known as "Far South Tasmania". It really is a very special little piece of paradise well away from the hustle and bustle of busy every day stresses of life.

This is a quiet little seaside area with a very small population, amazing forests and beaches. There is only one pub/ general store and a few shacks along the beach. A very good safe boat ramp in the Lune River makes both inland and ocean waters very accesable. This is not a commercialised tourist area, and hopefully never will be

To find your way to Summertime Cottage Beach Accommodation in Southport Tasmania....

Drive south from Hobart for approx 75 minutes, through the beautiful Huon Valley.

Drive past Dover and after about 15 minutes, the turn off for Southport is on the left hand side.

Follow this road into Southport, past the Pub and general store. Turn right where the road meets the water (at the jetty) and follow this road (Kingfish Beach Rd) for approx 1 km and as you are coming down a hill approaching the white sandy beach on your left, you will see your accommodation ..."Summertime Cottage" on your right hand side.
