Quamby Homestead, located a short drive from the Great Ocean Road, Warrnambool and Port Fairy, offers the opportunity to soak up some history whilst enjoying excellent accommodation in the serenity of a 3-acre garden setting.
Scattered throughout the garden, the accommodation includes the standard Mews Rooms and the original School and Carriage Houses. The Carriage House has two bedrooms (with king and single beds), bathroom, large living area, kitchen and delightful private terrace garden.
The School House, where the Lindsay children were once educated, now boasts a queen-size bed and ensuite with views over the dam. The five Mews Rooms have queen-size beds and en-suites and are surrounded by attractive gardens. Continental and full cooked breakfast is served in the homestead dining room by a wood fire in winter, or on a shady verandah in the summer months. Dinner is available by prior arrangement.
Quamby's superb gardens are the main feature of the property. Soak up the ambience, relax and enjoy, or spot kangaroo, echidna, possums, and study the historic plantings in a relaxed, private atmosphere.
Quamby is an ideal accommodation break in your travels, as it is situated between the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians, enroute from Melbourne and Adelaide, and just 20 minutes' drive from Warrnambool. Stop to draw a breath, or spend a couple of days exploring the unique volcanic coastline, and surrounding district.

Children are welcome at Quamby Homestead, however we do advise parents that there are water dams and electric fences located on the property, so children must be supervised at all times.
Children under 3yo: Free of charge - Cot will be provided in all rooms free of charge
Children 3yo to 12yo: $25 per child per night
Children 13yo and over: $38 per child per night
Additional adults in The Carriage House: $38 per person per night

Directions from Melbourne (via Warrnambool): Princes Highway to Warrnambool #A1 (via Geelong, Winchelsea, Colac, Camperdown, Terang, Warrnambool), travel through Warrnambool and turn right on to Caramut Road C174. Drive 25kms from Warrnambool to Woolsthorpe (via Mailors Flat, Winslow, Woolsthorpe). Remain travelling on C174 - Caramut Road, Quamby Homestead is 10km from the Woolsthorpe General Store. The five Mews Rooms have queen size beds (1 with twin singles), private ensuite, tea/coffee making facilities (plunger coffee and leaf tea also provided), television, reverse cycle airconditioning, and located within three acres of beautiful gardens. Continental and full cooked breakfast is included in the tariiff, and is served in the Homestead Dining Room beside an open fire on the cooler mornings, or on a shady verandah in the summer months.

The School House, where the Lindsay children were once educated, now has a queen-size iron bed with ensuite (handicap facilities), reverse cycle air con, tea/coffee making facilities (plunger coffee and leaf tea provided) TV, and views over the properties water dams. Surrounded by 3 acres of garden, guests can enjoy the leisurely 2km walk around the property perimeter. Continental and full cooked breakfast are included in tariff,and is served in the Homestead Dining Room or on a shady verandah

The Carriage House has two bedrooms, ensuite, large living area, kitchen and delightful private terrace overlooking the Spring Creek Flats. Reverse cycle aircon or wood fire, TV with DVD & VHS player, The Carriage House can be on a self contained basis with breakfast hamper provided for self catering, or continental and full cooked breakfast can be taken in the Homestead Dining room beside an open fire in cooler months, or on a shady verandah during summer.
