Ophir Gold is set in a park-like garden on 5 hectares on the edge of town in a rural setting. Three large rooms -
De-luxe king room or twin king singles with small gallery kitchenette;
Gold room with king sized bed or twin king singles;
Easy Living room queen sized bed, and an additional single can be added.
All rooms are fully self contained with air con. tv. elec blnksts. own ensuites, fridge, tea/coffee making facilites, iron & ironing board and own private entry. Extra facilities include reading room, mini-lounge, bbq. and outdoor spa.
A very generous continental breakfast is included in tariff, and a hot b/fast can be ordered for only $15.00 pp
A set-menu, 2-course evening meal with a complimentary glass of wine is available upon request from $25.00 pp for those guests wishing to stay in. This property is not suitable for children as it has unfenced water. Visitors of guests may visit from 10.00 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. Visitors are required to register on arrival. Spa is not for visitors use.
Bush walking, cycling, vineyards, art gallery, arts and crafts,golf, retail therapy, historical sites, fine dining, tennis, horse riding, gold panning, floral shows, drama productions and theatres.
Approx 5 mins drive from the hightway.
From Sydney
On approaching Orange you will come to Bunnings on the left and a large flag pole on the right.
Turn right at the next street - Lone Pine Avenue (TV station). Go to the end - and turn right into Ophir Road. Stay on this road and travel approx 5 kms - you will go down a hill overlooking a valley on the right, past Banjo Paterson Way and past Kennet Place.
When you see the 100 km speed sign we are just before it on the right. There is a sign on the culvert. PS: You will see a couple of B & B signs that say 9 kms DON'T panic that is not us, don't follow those signs.
From Orange township Post Office
Facing back toward Sydney in the main street (Summer Street)
Turn left at any street and cross Byng, March and Prince streetrs and turn right into Dalton Street.
Stay on Dalton street across the railway line and go to the very end which will take you down a rather steep hill - and you will be in the country. Turn left onto Ophir Road and travel approx 4 kms until you see the 100 km speed sign. We are on the right and have a sign on the culvert.
