Margaret River Hideaway & Farmstay is located on 23.3 hectares (57 acres) of private parkland in the heart of the world-renowned Margaret River wine region. It's perfect for a romantic getaway, a family holiday and / or for friends looking to share company in a relaxed environment. Our 7 very comfortable and private cottages have a mix of Queen and twin-bedded rooms, fully equipped kitchens, dining / living rooms with LCD flat screen TV, DVD and CD player, wood fires, reverse cycle air-conditioning and more. The Studio has limited (only) cooking / dining facilities and no fire, but remains very comfortable. We supply everything you need for a comfortable stay and all you need bring are your food and personal effects. Dogs are welcome at Margaret River Hideaway, each of our units having a fenced-off area where well behaved dogs can spend their days - rules apply! And children are invited to assist in the feeding (each Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) of our farm animals...including joeys (baby kangaroos) alpacas, (black-faced dorper) sheep, geese, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, peacocks and our Scottish Highland cattle.

Check-in is from 2.30pm onwards. If late check-in or check-out is required, please contact the property directly before arriving.

Children and Extra Guests Details

Advertised costs are for up to 2 persons in the studio, up to 4 persons in a 2 bedroom cottage and up to 6 persons in a 3 bedroom cottage. Additional guests are charged at a rate of $25.00 per person. Portacots and high chairs are available - on request.

Things To Do

The Margaret River region offers wonderful local produce, restaurants and wineries, as well as a wealth of scenic delights and leisure activities. Margaret River Hideaway is located just 5 minutes from town and within easy driving distance of everything which makes this such a popular destination. And after a busy day's sightseeing, you can return to our tranquil rural retreat and relax! We provide exclusive itineraries to assist guests achieve the most from their visit, together with special offers at several of the finest winery restaurants. We're also happy to assist with general recommendations. Kids of all ages can participate in the feeding (each Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday) of our baby kangaroos, alpacas, (black-faced dorper) sheep, geese, chickens, ducks, guinea fowl and peacocks; and collect fresh eggs along the way. An unusual sight at Margaret River Hideaway is the farm's Scottish Highland cattle. These beautiful and docile animals bring an exotic touch with their fearsome spreading horns, woolly coats and long wavy fringes.

Travel Directions

TO GET HERE: Travelling south via Bunbury, take the bypass around Busselton and head south with Vasse Newtown coming up on your left. At the junction with Bussell Highway, turn left, saunter through the tiny settlement of Vasse and proceed in a leisurely manner. From Cowaramup, continue 8.5kms to the junction with Osmington Road (watch out for the large "Brewery" sign), turn left and proceed 2.2kms and we're on the left. You can't miss us folks...there's a blue " Farm Stay" sign on the right hand side of the road and a very large Margaret River Hideaway sign on the left, at the entrance. If coming from the south along Bussell Highway, pass through Margaret River township and proceed 3.3kms to the junction with Osmington Road (watch for the large "Brewery" sign). Turn right and proceed 2.2kms and we're on the left.
