Cruising the Murray River is the ultimate way to relax. Your floating home is fully equipped, just bring your food and refreshments and sun tan lotion and you're off on holidays. Magic Murray houseboats are easy and safe to operate, there are no special license requirements and we provide comprehensive instructions before you begin your journey.
On board there is everything you need to make your holiday comfortable and pleasant. It's simply a home away from home.
Cruising the Murray River is a unique part of our regions history. You'll skipper your own vessel just as the Paddle steamer Captains did more than 100 years ago...
CONDITIONS OF HIRE
1. Bookings for Magic 1, 2, 3, Nulla Nulla & Woomera commence at 3.00pm on the first day of hire and are to be vacated by 10.00am on the last day. Early arrivals may be able to board before 3.00pm if your boat is ready.
2. MAGIC 1, 2, 3, NULLA NULLA & WOOMERA BOOKING DEPOSIT of $400.00 is required within 7 days as confirmation.
FULL PAYMENT of hire is required 6 weeks prior to departure. Non-payment by this date will be taken to be a cancellation.
3. SECURITY BONDS are payable on arrival:
Magic 1, 2, 3, Nulla Nulla & Woomera - $1000 (One Thousand dollars)
The bond is refunded by post next working day, less fuel costs if boat is returned in good, clean condition at the end of hire. Any damage or excess cleaning will be charged for at cost.
4. CANCELLATION of bookings must be made 2 months prior to commencement of hire. There will be no refund of money until the original booking has been re-booked by another party for the full period and hire value. A cancellation fee of $150.00 will apply. If the boat is not re-booked, there will be no refund.
5. Arrivals after 6.00pm will have to wait until the following morning to move the boat.
6. Bookings are made on the understanding that the craft is placed at the disposal of the hirer on the date desired unless the company is prevented from doing so, by mechanical problems, river conditions or other circumstances. In case of the above mentioned, monies paid by the hirer will be refunded in full.
7. We agree to have the boat, motor and accessories in good order. We will not be obliged to compensate the hirer for loss of time due to mechanical problems during the hire period.
8. Drivers must be 18 years of age or over and they must hold a current Driver's Licence (no special boat driver's licence is required).
9. The houseboat must remain between Barmah Bridge and Torrumbarry Lock and only be driven in daylight hours.
10. Due to health and other regulations, no pets or firearms allowed.
11. Numbers of persons aboard must not exceed the number of berths under the NSW Waterways Authority regulations.

Car Parking Details
Parking is available at Maiden's Inn Holiday Park. Note: Parking is not secure and all vehicles are left at the owners risk. Parking is at a cost and must be paid on arrival.

Children must wear life jackets and be supervised at all times whilst on the boat.

Port of Echuca Explore the historic Port of Echuca - Walk along the red gum wharf built in 1865, see the cargo shed museum, visit the Star Hotel with its underground bar and escape tunnel (once a 'sly' grog shop), inspect one of the many steam engine displays and observe shipwrights restoring vessels
Paddlesteamers Take a paddle steamer cruise - the world's biggest fleet of operating paddle steamers is based at Echuca-Moama and each has its own history and character. Learn about pioneering days from the captains commentary and enjoy refreshments as you cruise in all-weather comfort .
Wineries Although relatively new, Echuca-Moama's wine region is gaining a reputation as one of the best winegrowing districts in the country.
Restaurants Dine out at the excellent local restaurants in Echuca Moama.
Rich River Golf Club offers an excellent venue for a round of golf and afterwards you can relax and dine in their suberb restaurant. You may even call their courtesy bus to collect you from the boat.
