As soon as you head off the meandering back roads of the Huon Valley and into the forested hills surrounding Huon Bush Retreats you'll know you have found somewhere truly inspiring.
Self-contained cabins, deluxe tipees, campsites and extensive facilities harmonise with a spectacular backdrop of protected old growth forest and bushland. Bathe under the stars, wander on walking tracks through rainforest groves or hike to the summit of Mt Misery. Facilities are solar powered, use natural rainwater collected on site and eco-friendly products. Cabins are contemporary and each in their own private forest setting. Tipees are fully carpeted and include double bed, wood heater, electric lights and a covered deck.
We encourage you to escape from the fast pace of today's world. Cabins and tipees are free of television, phones and 240 volt electricty. Most mobile phones work fine. If you need to charge a mobile phone or computer, we can do so for you at reception.
Our on-site commercial kitchen can prepare meals served to your cabin, or cater for events of up to 60 people. Cabins and campground are well equipped for self catering. You can pick up supplies in Huonville.

Travel Directions
We are just 50 minutes south of Hobart. Take the A6 highway. 2km after Grove,(3km before Huonville)turn right onto the C619. Follow the blue and yellow signs through Ranelagh onto C619 North Huon Rd. 2.5 km west from Ranelagh, turn right into Browns Road. Then 3km to Huon Bush Retreats.
PLEASE NOTE: BROWNS ROAD IS UNSEALED. THE LAST SECTION OF THE ROAD IS STEEP AND NARROW PLEASE USE CAUTION.
