Huon Bush Retreats is an award winning, carbon neutral (Green Globe accredited) retreat offering guests a choice of contemporary, self contained cabins, deluxe tipees and private campsites against an inspiring backdrop of Tasmanian native forest.
Relax by the fire with a glass of local wine or take in the view from the deck surrounded by native birds and wildlife. With easy access to 5km of interpreted walking tracks through rainforest, to a hidden waterfall or a mountaintop, you will not miss internet or television here. Your cabin is comfortably catered for with gas cooking facilities, fresh rainwater, solar powered lights, an eco-friendly composting toilet, a cosy wood heater and a private outdoor bath.
Please note that we are a true retreat and access is via a 4km of gravel road.

We are just 50 minutes south of Hobart:
- Take the A6 highway
- 2km after Grove (3km before Huonville), turn right onto the C619.
- Follow the blue and yellow signs through Ranelagh onto C619 North Huon Road
- 2.5km west from Ranelagh, turn right into Browns Road. Then 4km to Huon Bush Retreats.
PLEASE NOTE: BROWNS ROAD IS UNSEALED. THE LAST SECTION OF THE ROAD IS STEEP AND NARROW. PLEASE USE CAUTION.
Please drive slowly at night as wallabies frequently jump in front of moving cars.

This sunny cabin is ideally suited for couples or small families. It is equipped with a queen-sized bed and bunks. A double sofa bed are also available.
