Highland Lodge Farmstay is surrounded by our pristine high country, boasting exceptional views from many parts of the property. Watch birds, kangaroos and other wildlife in natural bushland from one of our walking or mountain bike tracks. Highland Lodge is a 160 acre working cattle farm and provides every visitor with a true high country experience.
Bring the kids to Highland Lodge, there's plenty of room to run, ride bikes & explore in a safe environment. They can meet & feed our animals- chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, pet dogs, alpacas, cows & bulls, Gus the donkey and Ben our Snowy Mountains Brumby.
On a clear night you can show the family a million stars or take a torch lit walk in search of possums and owls.
Canberra Airport is a 2 hour drive and we are 5 ½ hours from Sydney. Hire cars are available at the airport.
Perisher & Thredbo ski resorts are 30 minutes away.

Things To Do
Bring the kids to Highland Lodge to interact with our friend farm animals.
They can meet & feed our animals- chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, guinea fowl, pet dogs, alpacas, cows & bulls, Gus the donkey and Ben our Snowy Mountains Brumby.
Gus our donkey loves all the attention. He loves to be feed brushed and hugged.
Snow Sports:
Highland Lodge Farmstay is a great place to base yourself for your snow-skiing, snow-boarding holiday with Perisher and Thredbo resorts a little over 30 minutes away. If you need a break from the slopes you can check out the farm or you can get out and see all that the mountains have to offer.
Water Sports:
Highland Lodge Farmstay has the perfect location for the fishing, sailing or water skiing family or group, with plenty of parking for the boat & trailer. We are located between two of the most popular fishing spots; Lake Jindabyne & Lake Eucumbene. The ¿Eucumbene¿ trout farm is just down the road and the ¿Gaden¿ trout hatchery is close by. Fishing charters and lessons are available from renowned local guides.
Horse Riding:
We are only minutes from the 5 star Jindabyne Equestrian Resort for horse riding and lessons with beautiful mountain trail rides. Also Horse riding and pony rides are available at Thredbo Valley Horse Riding 20 minutes away.
Shopping / Dinning:
The township of Jindabyne with its many specialty shops, supermarket, restaurants, cinema, nightlife, Bars, heated indoor pool and skate park for the kids is only 10 minutes away.
