Hayman will be temporarily closed from 6 March to 31 July 2011 to carry out rectification works due to damage caused by Tropical Cyclones Anthony and Yasi which passed over Hayman on 30 January and 2 February 2011. The works will encompass key guest and accommodation areas, activity facilities, essential infrastructure, landscaping and grounds. Hayman will reopen on 1 August 2011.

The Hayman Beach offers year-round swimming and catamaran sailing, windsurfing and paddle skiing, all complimentary. Reception requires an imprint of a credit card or full prepayment of accommodation & cash bond of $200 with photo ID upon check in to guarantee any incidental charges to the suite.

This special place is home to the Kids Club and Crèche and welcomes young visitors up to the age of 12. Babysitting services are also available in the resort.

Look out for the special two-course Kids Menus in Hayman's restaurants which have been designed just for children and offer healthy and nutritious food. For children aged 4-12 years inclusive, a 50% discount applies for children's portions selected from a la carte menus in the restaurants. Full prices apply for beverages. There is no charge for children aged up to 4 years dining in the restaurants or for milk or other formulae ordered for babies' bottles through In Room Dining.

In consideration of other guests, could we please ask that children do not bring to Hayman any scooters, rollerboards etc. as there is lots to entertain them on the island.

Swimming in three salt and fresh water pools, catamaran sailing, fishing, whale watching (in season), golf driving/putting, squash, fitness activities, resort tours and various day tours.

There are no airports on Hayman Island. Guests arrive via Hamilton Island then take a luxury boat transfer to/from Hayman Island with light refreshments. Guests must provide the hotel with flight and arrival details to pre-arrange transfers for the 20 nautical mile boat transfer. Hayman return luxury boat transfers can be purchased as a through-fare via Jetstar, Qantaslink or Virgin Blue. Boat transfers can also be booked directly with Hayman Reservations at $290 per person return from Hamilton Island to Hayman.
