The Forrest Country Guesthouse offers 7 themed Guestrooms, and a fully licenced restaurant offers generous country breakfasts, lunch, morning/afternoon teas and dinner. Guests can select from an extensive a-la-carte menu where only the finest of local produce is used. Take away is also sometimes available.Our relaxed environment offers a unique experience. Only 30 mins from Apollo Bay, 40 mins from the Otway Fly treetop walk and from our front door you can take the platypus tour at the beautiful Lake Elizabeth only 10 mins away. Bring your mountain bike on your holiday as Forrest has many new mountain bike tracks in the immediate area ranging in difficulty, or simply relax, read a book or feed the king parrots in our own backyard. All the furniture and effects are original pieces which have been collected throughout the district. All rooms enjoy marvellous views over the garden which is constantly being tended. From the sunny verandah you can lounge, take tea and marvel at the native birdlife.
The Forrest Country Guesthouse is located in the beautiful Otways town of Forrest. Click here for map to Forrest Country Guesthouse From Geelong, continue along the Princes Highway (M1) through Geelong and continue on this highway until you come to the Cape Otway Road turnoff (the C135), about 5 minutes past Waurn Ponds. Turn left into the Cape Otway Road or C119 and continue for about 25 minutes. The Cape Otway Road turns into Forrest Road. Grant Street is the main street of Forrest and Forrest Road turns into Grant Street. The guesthouse is on your right. From Colac follow the Princes Highway (A1) towards Geelong. 20 minutes out of Colac turn right into the Colac Forrest Road (C154). This will bring you to the main street of Forrest. Turn right, this is Grant Street. The guesthouse is on your right. From the Great Ocean Road From Apollo Bay on the Great Ocean Road take the Forrest/Apollo Bay Road (C119) . Follow this road to Forrest which will bring you into the main street which is Grant Street. The guesthouse is on your left.
