Custom booking conditions
Ficifolia Lodge is open from Mon - Fri from 9am to 6pm and open by appointment on weekends. If you are arriving after 6pm please give Sue or Colleen a call so we can make alternative arrangements for your smooth check-in. Normal check-in is from 2pm and check-out is 10am. Please be aware that general groceries will not be available here in Parndana after 6pm on weekdays and 5pm on Sundays. Parndana Hotel offers excellent meals & refreshments 7 days a week. Dining room is open for Lunch at 12 noon - 2.00pm and Evenings 6pm - 8pm from Sunday - Thursday and 8.30pm Friday & Saturday nights.
SPECIAL NOTE: For overseas or interstate guests, please be aware that mobile phone coverage on Kangaroo Island is limited and you will need to connect to the Telstra (Next G) Network to ensure the best possible coverage during your holiday. We do have WIFI available so you will be able to contact your family & friends via this method once you have been allocated a password.
Business Facilities
We do not offer business facilities at Ficifolia Lodge, however we can recommend and organize excellent facilities at the Parndana Hotel. The Hotel is within walking distance from Ficifolia Lodge for your convenience.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation more than 30 days before arrival - $25 per person non-refundable.
Cancellation more than 7 days before arrival - 50% of the total booking cost non-refundable.
Cancellation less than 7 days before arrival - 80% of total booking cost non-refundable
Cancellation on day of arrival - 100% of total cost non-refundable.
Car Parking Details
All apartments have conveniently designated off-street parking free of charge. As many of Kangaroo Island roads are unsealed, you may wish to clean your car prior to your departure. We offer an extensive range of car cleaning facilities for our guests to use.
Check In Instructions
Check in is at 2.00pm and Check out is at 10.00am. If you wish to vary these times we are very flexible and will accommodate your needs if we can. Ficifolia lodge is owned & operated by long time residents of the Island, so we can offer you special touring tips during your stay. The owners do not live on site, so make sure you make contact prior to your arrival. Normal office hours are between 9.00am & 6.00pm Monday to Friday, and on weekends by appointment. (This can vary seasonally)
Children and Extra Guests Details
Children are welcome at Ficifolia Lodge, and there is a great children's playground available within walking distance from Ficifolia Lodge. Extra guests, adults or children can be catered for with the plan rates shown. Just bear in mind, we are a boutique style Motel which caters for up to 17 guests full house. You may wish to accommodate your family group here exclusively, during your next holiday.
Things To Do
In Parndana, you can visit the Parndana Soldier Settlement Museum, the Shearing Hall of Fame and by appointment the local School aquaculture centre. Not far from the township, is the famous Parndana Wildlife Park, where you can enjoy a BBQ lunch before strolling around the Park to enjoy the extensive range of native animals & birds. The township is surrounded by thick native vegetation, so you may wish to take a morning or evening stroll around the township to enjoy nature at it's best. It is not uncommon to encounter wildlife during these walks, so if you have some spare time available before or after your touring day, this can be an enriching experience.
Travel Directions
We are situated in the small rural township of Parndana commonly referred to as the Heartland of Kangaroo Island. Driving distances from: Penneshaw is 50 minutes, from Kingscote Airport 20 minutes, from Kingscote 30 minutes, from Seal Bay 25 minutes, Stokes Bay 25 minutes, Kelly Hill Caves 55 minutes, Emu Bay 40 minutes, Vivonne Bay 30 minutes and Flinders Chase National Park a 60 minutes. As you can see, we are truly central with our location. Traveling times may vary at dusk & dawn due to increased presence of wildlife.
