He built the house on the same site as his Bone mill on the corner of Maitland St and Connaught Crescent. A grand Victorian four-poster bed, king size, is a dominant feature of this room which is decorated with rich navy velvet curtains. The nautical decor includes memorabilia spanning a century. The room has a built-in corner ensuite of unusual design.
