In a city as large as Melbourne it can become quite bewildering attempting to locate accommodation that will suit both personal needs and budget without scrimping on the comforts one desires whilst being away. The Eastern Town House is situated on a boulevard in grand East Melbourne a gold rush suburb with more than its fair share of wide streets and old elms. Many homes which are situated in this inner-city suburb, have been included on the Historic Buildings Register.

You can accommodate up to four persons comfortably in a one bedroom apartment with one double, one single and a sofa bed, or three singles and a sofa bed. The apartments main features include; fully equipped kitchenette, Air conditioning, Bath, Dial-Up internet connection, Free car parking, Opening Windows and Fax/telephone Line.

Secretarial Services available, including mailing, photocopying, faxing, e-mail etc.

Melbourne's most vibrant shopping strip and renowned for its Designer Factory Outlet Stores. Visit Bridge Rd Richmond and get more than you bargained for. For fashion, food, factory outlets, and furnishings Bridge Rd is a must. Only 10-15 walk from Eastern Town House.

Chapel Street, Prahran

Melbourne's premier retail fashion district. Over 1000 shops make up the Chapel Street precinct, which stretches over 2 kilometres.

Just catch Tram 109 to Church Street, and any tram on Church Street will take you straight to through to Chapel Street.

Queen Victoria Market

Head to the oldest and largest market in the Southern Hemisphere to see buskers, or find a unique souvenir, a new outfit, gourmet goods, fresh fish and organic produce. Only 10 min tram ride.

The Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)

Only a 10 minute walk from Eastern Town House. The MCG is the heart of Melbourne's sporting life. Watch an AFL footy match or take a tour of this marvellous stadium, ask reception for details.

Telstra Dome

Easily travelling from Eastern Town House, catch 109 tram on Victoria Pde and get off at Spencer St. The Telstra Dome is another AFL football arena and the home of many other sporting events.

MELBOURNE AIRPORT TRANSFERES

Offers a shuttle bus service to and from Melbourne Airport to Melbourne CBD and city hotels. This service operates 24 hours, 7 days. Buses sun every 10-15 minutes throughout the day and every 30-60 minutes through the evening. This service will take you to and from the Airport and Southern Cross Station (previously called Spencer Street Station).

The hotel shuttle is a complimentary service from Southern Cross Station to your hotel, dropping you at the door of Eastern Town House. This service runs Mon-Fri from 6am to 10pm, and Sat to Sun from 7:30am to 6:30pm.

Return trips to the Airport can be arranged from Eastern Town House one day before departure, just ask reception.

AVALON AIRPORT TRANSFER

Sunbus meets all arriving and departing flights at Avalon servicing CBD and CBD Hotels. Transfers either to Hotel door or to Southern Cross Station.
