At the heart of the Desert Sand is an inviting pool where guests can soak up the sun and relax between tours.

Set in a prime location in the Southern Cross Hotel and Dunes Restaurant complex which features formal or bistro dining, cocktail lounge, and a large main bar where you can relax with the friendly locals.

For the corporate guests we have wireless broadband access (at a cost), working space in every room. Fax and photocopying facilities and a large formal dining room for functions or meetings.

Broken Hill Visitors centre is located 500 metres from the Desert Sand and Tour buses collect guests daily from reception to visit underground mines, Silverton, Menindee lakes, Heritage trail, White Cliffs, art galleries and to capture sunsets.

Desert Sand is walking distance from the Railway, Mineral and Train museum, and the Silver Mint Art Gallery where they make jewellery and hold the one of the world¿s largest paintings.
