Children can stay provided the parents will take responsibility for them as there are original art works throughout the house.

Mount Warning World Heritage National Park is one of the few remaining rain forests in Australia.

The peak of Mount Warning is where the morning sun first touches Australia. There are walking trails to the peak or a short walk to Lyrebird look out.

Enjoy a splash in the local swimming holes with mini water falls in a natural Rainforest environment.

There are many scenic picnic areas around this area.

At sunrise see an abundant variety of beautiful birds. At nightfall native marsupials roam.

During the day enjoy a scenic drive to the Tweed Coast and surf in Cabarita beach for the best wave.

Visit quaint historical villages near the meandering Tweed River; Uki village offers souvenir shops, historical sites/stories and superb coffee.

On our website www.castleonhill.com,  you will find a map on how to get to us from Mt Warning turnoff. Here is some more information.

*From Gold Coast airport turn right to go on the Pacific Highway south. You will pass Coolangatta, Tweed Heads, and Chinderah .

There will be a sign on your left for Tweed Valley Way.-Murwillumbah. Take that left hand exit and follow it all the way to Murwillumbah.

From Murwillumbah

*Once you cross the bridge entering Murwillumbah township, just follow the road up the hill.

When you pass Knox Park on your left, 2 streets later you will see a sign to Kyogle, Mt Warning, Uki etc on Riverview street. Take that left hand turn.

*Follow the road all the way to Mt Warning turn off. DO NOT TURN OFF. STAY ON RIVERVIEW STREET. (also known as Kyogle Road)

*The road will widen for Glenoch Subdivision. It will narrow again and then widen again for Braeside Drive. Turn left up Braeside Drive.

*Second turning on the right is Bonny Doon Road. Go up this road until you see our sign next to a steep cliff face.

*Turn right and immediate right again to drive pass the wooden house to the main stone house- the Castle on the Hill.

From the south

From Pacific Highway, take Cabarita (Clothier Creek Road) or Chinderah exit, heading for Murwillumbah. Just follow the signs.

It will take you to the old Pacific Highway. Turn left to head for Murwillumbah.

Follow the sign to Murwillumbah, then proceed with the above directions.
