Bussells Bushland Cottages is a gazetted "Land for Wildlife" property which occupies a 20 hectare (50 acre) bush block just 5kms NW of Margaret River township. The 8 delightful rammed-earth cottages are all fully self-contained and have 2 bedrooms, an open living room / kitchen, a shared bathroom and a front verandah. Coin-operated laundry facilities are available. The property has old growth jarrah, marri, banksia and peppermint; and is home to numerous wildflowers, prolific birdlife, possums, bandicoots and mobs of kangaroos. Access to the property is via a 600 metre tree-lined gravel driveway, bordered by historic dairy country. It's just a 5 minute drive to Margaret River's Visitors' Centre, shops, cafes and bars; and an easy drive to the region's best beaches, wineries and a myriad tourist attractions. Come along and enjoy the peaceful tranquillity of our idyllic bushland retreat, the preferred choice of many thousands of visitors.
By 31 March 2012, all 8 cottages will have been completely gutted, refitted and raised to a SUPERIOR level. From this date, therefore, there will be Standard cottages on offer.

Check In Instructions
Check in is from 2pm and keys can be collected from the Manager's residence at the end of the driveway. Late arrivals can collect their key from the blackboard alongside the office front door.
Children and Extra Guests Details
We have 3 "Family" Cottages, each of which has a Queen-sized bed in 1 bedroom and 2 X double bunks in the other. Extra bed costs will be $15 per adult and $10 per child under 12. There are also 5 "Couples / Small Family" cottages which have either a Queen-sized bed in 1 bedroom and twin beds in the other, or Queen-sized beds in both. Extra bed costs for these will be be $25 per adult and $15 per child under 12. Portacots are available for infants and we can also provide a high chair and tub (for bathing baby) - on request. Costs are based on 2 persons sharing 1 room and we charge extra bed prices for use of the 2nd bedroom. Infants under 2 years using a portacot will be free-of-charge.

During the day, you can head off to visit wineries, cheese and chocolate factories, world-renowned beaches and surf breaks, olive and venison farms, historic homesteads and much, much more. Then, back at Bushland Cottages, you can enjoy the peaceful setting and relax in natural surroundings. Travel Directions
Heading south along Bussell Highway, pass through Cowaramup then, just before arriving at Margaret River township, turn right onto Carters Road. Proceed for 4.5kms until you reach our road sign (on your left hand side) and turn into our 600 metre driveway.
