Baystay Guesthouse is a spacious and comfortable beach house, ideally situated only four minutes stroll from the beautiful beaches of Byron Bay and the numerous bars, restaurants and boutiques of the town. Although only 400 metres from the centre of town, it is far away enough from the hustle and bustle of town to allow you to wind down and relax.

Baystay Guesthouse offers guests a haven to relax and recharge. The casual ambiance of Byron is reflected in the delightful and comfortable guest rooms all of which overlook a lush native garden visited by an array of Australian birds.

We also offer BBQ, bikes, goggles and snorkel and other sporting equipment to assist you to enjoy your stay. But if it's activities you want, your host, John, has lived in the area for over 20 years and can guide you on wonderful bush tours, or just assist you to relax. Or if you want more, John can help you choose from the many activities offered in this great town including Snorkelling, Scuba Diving, Kayaking, Fishing, Horse Riding, Gliding, Bush Walking, Dolphin and Whale watching, tours to Galleries and Cafes.

Baystay Guesthouse is designed for the relaxation and unwinding from day to day life so unfortunatly there are no business facilities, except for WiFi broadband access, available on-site. However, for guests wishing to access facsimile and/or photocopying there are numerous businesses within Byron town centre that provide this service.

The natural beauty of the beaches, lush hinterland, surfing, yoga, shopping, clubbing, dining, favourable climate, gliding and diving are the reasons for its popularity. This coastal town caters to every market from backpackers to families and everything in between, and has a large variety of activiteis, sports and events including; live music, ongoing festivals, weekly byron and regional markets, coastal and hinterland tours.

Marvell Street is directly opposite bus terminal and continues on hill side of sporting fields. We are on corner on the eastern section (ie hill end) of Marvell Street 400 metres from town.
