Go to Magnetic Island for the day. Ferries leave from 5.30am each hour till 11.30pm. Reef trips are also popular - dive on Yongala Reef. Go cattle mustering, sky diving, visit The Billabong Sanctuary, Reef HQ, Museum of Tropical Queensland, to name a few or just go for a stroll along the famous Townsville Strand. Take the children for a swim at the rock pool or relax at Riverway. Book some tickets to see the North Queensland Cowboys play a home game at Diary Farmers Stadium with a bus stop basically at the door step. Tour Desk and Free bookings available on site.

Airport - Turn left out of the airport, go to the T intersection, turn left into Ingham Road. Stay on Ingham Road until you see the signs to Kings Road. Turn right into Kings Road. Follow Kings Road to the end T intersection with Traffic Lights, turn right into Bowen Road. Banjo Paterson is 500 metres on your left hand side, at the Love Lane traffic lights. Directly opposite the Mobil Service Station.

Car from south - Turn right at the first set of traffic lights coming into Townsville. Follow this road through the next set of traffic lights, which is the Love Lane intersection. Drive through approximately 100 metres and do a U turn and Banjo Paterson is on your left hand side.

Car from North - Follow Highway One through Townsville past Stockland Shopping Centre on your left, go past Laverack Army Barracks on your right. Turn left at the next set of traffic lights. Follow this road (Bowen Road) through to the next set of traffic lights then do a U turn. Banjo Patterson is on your left hand side.
