All rooms are exquisitely furnished to the period, yet feature modern en-suites and bathrooms with quality fittings. A cosy lounge or the spacious back deck weather permitting provide the ideal retreats for quiet moments with a drink and a book or a convivial meeting place to swap and compare Tassie experiences with fellow travellers. A delicious full breakfast cooked to order with fresh local and home grown produce is served in the breakfast room which overlooks the magnificent oak trees of St Georges Square. There surely can be no better place to start your day.

From the airport or southern freeway (Hobart/Devonport): Follow the freeway into the city on Bathurst Street. Turn right into Elizabeth Street which continues on as Arthur Street. Ashton Gate is to your left on the round-about on the corner of Arthur and High Streets. Turn hard left off the round-about into the service road in front of the house. From Scottsdale: Follow the A3 into Launceston until you come to the traffic lights at the Elphin Road intersection. Turn right into Elphin Road and then immediately left into David Street. Follow David Street up the hill and turn right off the roundabout at the top into High Street. Follow High Street to the roundabout at the corner of High and Arthur Streets. Ashton Gate is on the corner to your left, opposite the park. Turn hard off the roundabout onto the service road in front of the house.
