Set on a 500 acre Hereford cattle stud, "Ashmar" Farm Stay is a NSW Tourism Award Winner offering a true country experience to all our guests.

Try your hand at milking a cow, collecting farm eggs or feeding our animals and enjoy a hay ride around the property.

Ashmar sleeps up to 14 people, we have a main cottage and for larger bookings, an additional separate flat and bathroom.

Last year 48% of our bookings were previous guests, who enjoyed their time here so much, they wanted to come back.

Gayle and Ian will be your hosts during your stay and we can supply home cooked meals if you don't want to self cater. Ashmar is the perfect place for a family get away or party, plus we only take one booking at a time, so you will always have the place to yourself.

Enjoy our beautiful surroundings, quiet location, fresh country air and at the end of your day take in the stunning night sky.

Car Parking is off road, in safe fenced in area close to the cottage.

Ashmar is a wonderful place for children and families.

Children cost under 5 $35-00 per night

Children 5 and over $40-00 per night

Adults $65-00 per night

Pets 15-00 per dog per night and must be under control at all times.

There's lots of see and do at the farm, especially for children, who can play in the wide open spaces and learn all about farm animals and where our food comes from.

We have a hay ride around the property that all the children (and lots of adults) love. Every day there are animals to feed, eggs to collect and cook for breakfast, milking to be done and if you are lucky you may see a calf being born. We often have small animals we are hand rearing, such as lambs and goats. Everyone can have a try at bottle feeding.

All our cattle work is done with horses, so you may see some mustering during your stay. For group bookings of 6 adults of more, we can show you how to get cattle ready for the show ring, including washing and blow drying and teaching to lead.

With 500 acres to explore you can enjoy a relaxing or strenuous walk around the property. Set back from the road about a kilometre, means that your children are safe from traffic.

If you want to explore the local area, then Gloucester is a great place to visit, offering cafes, restaurants and quaint shops. You can canoe in the Gloucester River, head up the road to the horse riding ranch, climb the Bucketts ranges, or visit the World Heritage Listed Barrington Tops.

If you are keen to stay on the farm, we can organise our local massage therapist for relaxing or remedial treatments, here at Ashmar. Or you can visit the beautiful open garden at Earlyn, just down the road to see the beautiful flowers and plants, then stay for a light lunch.

In the evening, it's a great time to relax on the verandah and take in the beautiful night sky, which is totally unspoilt. If you don't want to cook, we offer a home cooked three course evening meal, which can be served after the children have gone to bed, allowing you to make the most of your evening together.

Less than 3 hours north of Sydney.

After leaving the F3 Freeway turn onto the Pacific Highway heading to North Coast. Follow Highway north over Hexham Bridge.

Keep on past Raymond Terrace. About 20 mins North of Raymond Terrace, turn left off Pacific Highway onto Bucketts Way, signposted Gloucester.

Stay on this road for 1 hour and look for Jacks Roads on your right singposted for Ashmar Farm Stay and Waukivory, just before you reach Gloucester.

If you see the golf course you have just missed the turn into Jacks Road.

Follow this road for about 20km's. Ashmar Farmstay is signposted on your right.
